Salon History

Janice Hernandez is the owner and founder of Perfection Studio. Perfect Ten was the original salon's name, when she opened in 1986. Perfect Ten was located in Dallas on Scyene and St. Augustine; there she only had space for two "perfectionist.” She moved three times and has also changed names. With each move, Perfection Studio doubled in size. She went from two "perfectionist" to a staff of eighteen.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lisa Garza; I have been in this industry going on 17 years. I have seen many trends come and go. I'm very excited about this Web site and the things we plan to accomplish with it. We at Perfection Studio hope to make you a knowledgeable consumer about your hair and nails.

We will strive to the best of our ability to lead you to the professional products that are best for your hair. PS knows and understands the problems you are having with your hair. A number of our educators deal with your type of hair every morning when they look in the mirror. No problem is too big or small. We will do our best to tackle them all.

Ask the PS Perfectionist

Dear   PS:
I have limp hair and I need volume. What products do you recommend?
                                          -Limp IN, Frisco, TX

Dear  Limp:
A two-product mix from Aquage is recommended. Apply equal parts of Aquage's uplifting foam, and thickening spray gel to towel dried hair. The blow-dry upside down.

I got a bad perm, is there any thing I can use to help my damaged hair?

Dear Frazzled:
This recipe is used in salons everywhere. There are 4 basic products:

• 1 Tablespoon Keraphix
• 1 Tablespoon Humectress
• 1 teaspoon Botanic Oil
• 1 teaspoon Epitome

"Perfectionist" of the Month

Since this is Perfection Studio's first. Hands down, it would be Janice Hernandez. She works 7 days a week, and treats everyone like family. You can ask her for help with anything and she will always comes through, not to mention she's always there to keep us going. Her advice is always free and usually right on track.
